A-1 LIMITED AGRICULTURE Permitted Signs
1. Nameplates attached flat against the wall of the main building not to exceed three square feet in area.
2. Church or public bulletin boards not to exceed 32 square feet in area.
3. Temporary signs advertising the lease or sale of the premises not to exceed six square feet in area.
4. Billboards or advertising signs provided:
A. They are not within 300 feet of an intersection, highway structure, residence, or another billboard.
B. They are not within 100 feet of a park, school, cemetery, public or semi-public building.
C. They are not within 75 feet of the centerline of a City or County road, or 100 feet of a State or federal highway. Signs in proximity to State or federal
highways must comply with any regulations imposed by these agencies.
5. All signs shall be maintained in a neat and presentable condition, and in the event their use shall cease, the area shall be restored to a condition free from refuse and rubbish.
6. Any sign not conforming to the provisions of this ordinance shall be made to conform or shall be removed within three years after the adoption of this ordinance.
7. Signs which are located in such a manner as not to obscure or otherwise interfere with the effectiveness of an official traffic sign, signal, or device or which do not obstruct, or interfere with the driver’s view of approaching, merging, or intersecting traffic as determined by the Zoning Administrator.
R-1 SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL Permitted Signs

5. Illumination of all signs shall be lighted only with indirect, non-intermittent lighting.
6. Signs and bulletin boards shall be at least 20 ft. from the front lot line or not more than five ft. in front of the main building.
7. All signs shall be maintained in a neat and presentable condition and in the event their use shall cease, they shall be promptly removed.

4. Temporary signs advertising the lease or sale of the premises not to exceed six sq. ft. in area.
5. Illumination of all signs shall be indirect, non-intermittent lighting.
6. Signs and bulletin boards shall be at least 20 feet from the front line or not more than five feet in front of the main building.
7. All signs and billboards shall be maintained in a neat and presentable condition and in the event their use shall cease, they shall promptly be removed.
8. Any sign not conforming to the provisions of this ordinance shall be made to conform or be removed within three years after the adoption of this
ordinance.
9. Signs which are located in such a manner as not to obscure or otherwise interfere with the effectiveness of an official traffic sign, signal, or device or
which does not obstruct, or interfere with the driver’s view of approaching, merging, or intersecting traffic as determined by the Administrative Officer.
10. Any permanent sign larger than six square feet shall require a sign permit.
C-1 COMMERCIAL CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT Permitted Signs
1. Temporary signs (not more than six months) advertising the sale or lease of the premises, not to exceed 12 sq. ft. in area.
2. Advertising signs, trade, business, or industry identification signs for the business located on the site provided that the following requirements are met:
A. One free standing and/or wall sign per business not to exceed 20 feet in height and 50 sq. ft. per face.
B. Signs attached to a building shall not project above the top or ends of the building or more than four feet from the wall of the building.
C. No projecting or wall mounted sign shall exceed 50 square feet in area or more than one square foot per foot of building frontage, whichever is
smaller.
D. No projecting wall sign shall be attached to a wall of a building at a height less than 10 feet above the sidewalk or ground.
E. Illumination of signs and bulletin boards shall be indirect, non-intermittent lighting, provided that time, temperature, weather information signs, official
warning, and regulatory signs shall be exempt from this limitation.
F. They are not within 75 feet of the centerline of a City or County road, or 100 feet of a State or federal highway. Signs in proximity to state or federal
highways must comply with any regulations imposed by these agencies.
3. No sign shall be located in, overhang, or project into a required yard.
4. All signs shall be maintained in a neat and presentable condition and in the event their use shall cease, they shall be promptly removed.
5. On a corner lot, nothing shall be erected or placed in an area bounded by the street right-of-way lines and a straight line joining points on said right-of-
way lines 30 feet from the point of intersection of said right-of-way lines.
C-2 Highway Commercial Permitted Signs
1. Temporary signs (not more than six months) advertising the sale or lease of the premises, not to exceed 32 square feet in area.
2. Trade, business, or industry identification signs for the business located on the site provided that:
A. Signs shall not exceed 35 feet in height.
B. On a corner lot, nothing shall be erected, or placed in an area bounded by the street right-of-way lines and a straight-line joining points on said right-
of-way lines 30 feet from the point of intersection of said right-of-way lines.
C. No sign shall exceed 100 square feet in area or cover more than 20 percent of the building face on which it is located.
D. Signs attached to a building shall not project above the top or ends of the building or more than four feet from the wall of the building.
